چکیده
The prevalence of food allergies and intolerances among adults, also known as hypersensitivities (FHSs), are on the rise. There is a gap in health services for this population. Increasing competencies care providers (HCPs) can start with an understanding problem from perspective those who live FHSs. A purposive, asset-based sample four women, perceived themselves living well FHSs, were interviewed narrative inquiry. Participants invited to reflect their first-hand experiences perceptions dietetics own journeys toward well-being. Data collection included information gathering questionnaire (Appendix A), individual semi-structured interviews participants’ drawings which they illustrated assist storytelling. While onset FHS brought uncertainty into lives participants, article focuses how learning themes reveal importance incorporating more robust adult education dietetic interventions through stories moving findings suggest that when supported by determinants health, such social support, transformative be important tool mitigate uncertainties related experience FHS. research reveals educators, grasp processes community engagement, could asset interprofessional team improve provision person-centered care.

Mind-blanking: when the mind goes away
People often feel like their minds and their bodies are in different places. Far from an exotic experience, this phenomenon seems to be a ubiquitous facet of human life (e.g., Killingsworth and Gilbert, 2010). Many times, people's minds seem to go "somewhere else"-attention becomes disconnected from perception, and people's minds wander to times and places removed from the current environment (...
متن کاملPath Creation, Path Dependence and Breaking Away from the Path: Re-Examining the Case of Nokia
The explanation of how and why firms succeed or fail is a recurrent research challenge. This is particularly important in the context of technological innovations. We focus on the role of historical events and decisions in explaining such success and failure. Using a case study of Nokia, we develop and extend a multi-layer path dependence framework. We identify four layers of path dependence: t...

A new model has been proposed indicating that humans and other animals weigh the metabolic cost of pursuit in deciding how fast to move toward a given reward, providing a powerful framework for understanding behavior.

Chronic post-surgical pain is a common, under-recognized and important clinical problem which affects millions of patients worldwide. It results from a series of neuroplastic changes associated most commonly with peripheral nerve injury at the time of surgery. Predisposing factors include the type of surgery, pre-operative and acute post-operative pain intensity, and probably psychological (e.g...
متن کاملp85α neomorphic mutants: splitting away from the canonical path
PIK3R1 (encoding the p85α subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase) is the 11th most frequently mutated gene across tumors. We recently reported neomorphic p85α mutants that induce signaling cascades not predicted by the canonical functions of p85α, suggesting the need to functionally annotate specific mutations in cancer genes for effective genome-informed personalized therapy.
